The South Australian Government is committed to establishing a new International Centre for Food, Hospitality and Tourism Studies in the heart of Adelaide’s ideas neighbourhood, known as Lot Fourteen. Lot Fourteen is a seven-hectare innovation and entrepreneurship precinct located in the centre of the city’s cultural, dining and shopping district.
Renewal SA is inviting Expressions of Interest (“EOIs”) from the following proponents (“Proponents”) or consortiums of proponents:
Type A: Food, hospitality and tourism education, training and research facility operators and/or managers
Type B: Property developers and/or commercial investors, and
Type C: Food, hospitality and tourism education, training and research providers (facility users, tenants and/or occupiers).
EOIs from experienced consortiums, who can demonstrate experience in working as a group to successfully deliver a complex and innovative project are welcomed.
The International Centre will accommodate world-leading education and research providers in the disciplines of food, hospitality and tourism and represents a unique opportunity. The facility will provide educational and tourism facilities that will form a year-round attraction to students and visitors. Additionally, it will leverage the individual and collective reputations of its tenants and education providers, and the broader reputation of its Lot Fourteen location.
Lot Fourteen, on the site of the former Royal Adelaide Hospital, is being transformed into an internationally recognised ‘ideas neighbourhood’ creating high-value jobs across technology driven industries of the future within South Australia. The site has an area of approximately 7-hectares on the north-eastern edge of the Adelaide central business-district (CBD) and is intended to be a dynamic extension of the city and an international commercial hub. Future Industries clustered at Lot Fourteen are: defence and space, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and machine learning and creative industries (VFX, VR and AR).
